トモエ幼稚園での一幕。
「ブランコかして欲しいんだけど」女の子がやってきた。
「ダメ！今使っているんだから」にべなく断る娘。
「でもさ、これはみんなのブランコだからみんなで使うものなんだよ」
「今使っているからかせない。あっちのブランコ使えばいいじゃん」

交渉は平行線をたどる。

「いっぱい遊んだんだから、そろそろ次の人に貸してあげようね」
とか言って子どもを引き離して貸すのだろうか。親も一緒に通うここ、トモエ幼稚園ではできるだけ大人は介在しないで見守るようにしている。
女の子のお母さんも「そろそろ貸してあげて」とは言わずに近くで見守っている。
こちらも近くで子どもたちのやり取りをずっと見守っていた。
「貸してくれないならおやつあげられないよ」女の子は言った。
おやつ攻撃だ。
「おやつはいらないから」
断る娘。
「じゃあさ、かわいいシールあるんだけどあげないよ」
今度はシールを交渉の切り札にしてきたようだ。
「でもさ、今まだ遊ぶからさ、今日はだめ」
「ふわふわのやつ欲しい人この指止まれ」
新手の材料が提示された。
どこかから持ってきた綿のかたまりのことをふわふわと呼んでいるようだ。
「はーい」
あ、欲しいんだ。まさかこれで交渉成立なのか！？
「じゃあ明日なら使ってもいいよ。今日はダメだけど」
結局譲らない。
「わかった。じゃあ明日使うからね」
「いいよー！」
・・・話が噛み合っているような噛み合っていないような。
でも交渉は成立したらしい。
こうやって子ども同士でコミュニケーションを図ってどのようにして問題を解決していくのかを見ていくと非常に興味深い。
大人の損得勘定というか、概念では話が成立しないことがわかる。
でもお互いに納得して場が平和に保たれるのはとても大事。
一見ケンカしているように見えてもすぐに一緒に遊んでみたり。
子どもは不思議だ。
もちろん場が荒れたり、怪我や事故に繋がりそうな状況であれば介入もやむなしだが、子どもたち同士で平和に解決できる段階で親が入っていくのはどうなんだろうと思う。
無理矢理に引き剥がすのは子どもにフラストレーションを溜めさせるだけなのではないか。
ただ、見守る親もどうなることか、ドキドキだったりするんだけどね。
