画面に向かって乾杯！我ら番が運営するオンラインサロン「まむしのすみか」では定期的にオンライン飲み会を開催しています。私たちもオンラインサロンをオープンするまではオンラインでミーティングはすることはあっても飲み会なんてしたことがなくて、どんな感じになるのかドキドキしながら始めていました。

やってみて感じたのは、思った以上に楽しいということ。遠方にいて普段気軽に会えない人ともオンラインでつないでお酒を飲めるなんて、楽以外の何物でもありません。子どもがいたらなおのこと外で飲みに行くのも憚られるし、田舎だと飲んだ後の代行もめんどくさい。好きなお酒もおつまみも自分で用意すれば安くて済むし、何より宅飲みの延長線上なので超リラックスできるのです。
ああ、なぜこれまでオンライン飲み会をやらなかったのか、これまで知らなかった自分を叱責してやりたい気分です。もちろん、直接会うことには敵いませんが、画面を通して会話をすることはSNSでの文字のやりとりよりも深いコミュニケーションができるように感じます。数度のオンライン飲み会を通して参加者との関係性が深まったことを実感しています。
オンライン飲み会は何でつなぐのかがとても重要です。結論から言うと、私たちはzoomを利用しています。回線が安定していること、そもそも複数アカウントをつなぐように設計されていること、パケット代が比較的少なくて済むことがメリットです。光回線ではなくテザリングでつないでいたり、スマホやタブレットでつなぐ参加者もいるので、その点を考慮してもzoomはちょうどいいなと感じています。
デメリットを１つ挙げると、一定時間までは無料で利用できるのですが、長時間利用するとなると会員登録して月額払う必要があるということ。これはルームを作るホストが登録していれば、参加者はお金を払う必要がないので、とりあえず定期開催する予定の私たちは必要経費だということでzoomの月額会員に入りました。
Zoomはその性質上、100人以上オンラインでつなぐことが可能です。そのため、オンライン講座やオンライン講演などにも利用されています。
先日、5アカウントをつないでのオンライン飲み会になったのですが、ちょっと多いなと感じました。オンラインなので、リアル飲み会と違って複数のグループで複数の話題を並行して進めるということができません。話題は常に１つ。そしてクロストークをすると聞こえなくなってしまうので、話す人は順番に、という形になります。そうなると、話題についていけない人や、発言しない人が出てきてしまい、なんだか消化不良気味になってしまいました。さらに言えば、人数が増えれば増えるほど浅い話に終始してしまって、話が深まりにくいなという感想を持ちました。オンライン飲み会の参加人数は3アカウントくらいが理想かなと思います。
私たちがオンライン飲み会を開催する目的は「誰かに言いたくても言えなかったことを吐き出す場作り」です。誰かが吐き出したモヤモヤが他の誰かの気づきに変わる、そんな循環を生み出したいと思っています。
