翌年の2015年、開知さんをつないでくれた『たべると暮らしの研究所』の安斎伸也さんの誘いもあり、地球暦のイベントスタッフになりました。ヘリオス札幌という任意団体を作り、以後札幌でのリリースツアーを主催するようにもなったし、地球暦の販促にも関わらせてもらうことにもなった。でも、当時は全く地球暦に手をつけていなかったんです。
地球暦と出会ったばかりの2014年は、円に慣れるのが精一杯でした。これまで1月単位でページをめくってきたカレンダーを円で捉えるという意味。地球は太陽の周りを回ってて、月は地球の周りを回ってて、さらに地球は自転してて、それが1年であり１ヶ月であり1日であることをイメージはできるのですが、地球暦の本質として理解するまで、なかなか解せなかったように思います。それなのに、よくわからずイベントスタッフなぞ引き受けたりして。でも、これが良かった。なぜなら開知さんと直接話す機会が作れたから。わからないところ、疑問に感じるところは率直に聞けたし、開知さんからは次々と暦に関する情報があふれ出た。今聞いたら理解できることでも、当時の僕には理解できなかったことも多かったと思う。
僕が2015年からしていたのは、ひたすら眺めることとピンを移動することでした。別にわざわざその時間を作っていたわけではなく、トイレに貼ってあったので自然に目に入っちゃってた（笑）。これはきっと慈の策略なのだと思う。ピンの移動は、今日の太陽系の位置を俯瞰で知るようなもの。「金星近いな」とか、「土星は太陽の反対側か」とか、「惑星が右上によってるな」とかなんとなしに感覚で太陽系のバランスを知れるのが良かった。今日の惑星の位置なんて、仕事に何も関係ない事柄なんだけど、めざましテレビの今日の占い程度には気になってきちゃったりする。そもそも星占い自体宇宙とめっちゃ関係あるしね。
眺める、ピンを移動する、それだけでたまーに宇宙の真理に気づくことがあったり、地球暦のこれって何で？とか疑問が浮かんだりする。そういう気づきを重ねるから地球暦がだんだん面白くなっていく。
